Terms and Conditions

Please find below our Terms and Conditions. These are in place to ensure that both Sinister Detailing and our customers are protected and have a clear understanding of expectations and responsibilities involved. By making a booking, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set below.

1. Booking

1.1  By booking with Sinister Detailing, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

1.2  We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion.

1.3  A booking is only confirmed once it has been agreed by us.

 

2. Payments

2.1  Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in advance by Sinister Detailing.

2.2  Failure to make payment may result in additional charges and recovery action being taken.

 

3. Cancellations

3.1  We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

3.2  Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged up to 50% of the booking value.

3.3  Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment, or failure to attend (no-shows), may result in the full booking charge.

3.4  Sinister Detailing reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Pricing

4.1 Jobs are quoted as seen and agreed upon with the customer.

4.2 Final pricing may be adjusted upon inspection before or during the service. In our experience, this has only happened in very rare cases, and only when a vehicle is significantly more soiled than expected.

 

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the vehicle.

5.2 All personal belongings must be removed before the appointment.

5.3 Any existing damage or sensitive areas must be reported before work begins.

5.4 Sinister Detailing is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left inside the vehicle.

 

6. Vehicle Condition

6.1 Sinister Detailing carry out all work with reasonable care and attention.

6.2 We do not guarantee removal of all stains, marks, scratches, or odours.

6.3 Results may vary depending on the condition and age of the vehicle.

6.4 We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or defects.

 

7. Liability

7.1 We are not liable for any pre-existing damage to vehicles.

7.2 Sinister Detailing is not liable for mechanical or electrical faults that may occur during or after cleaning.

7.3 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

7.4 Any issues must be reported immediately upon completion of the service.

 

8. Right to Refuse Work

8.1 Sinister Detailing reserve the right to refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.

8.2 This includes but is not limited to: Unsafe working conditions, Extreme weather, Lack of space or access, Abusive or unreasonable behaviour

8.3 A call-out fee or partial charge may still apply in these circumstances.

 

9. Complaints

 

9.1 ​ Any complaints must be raised immediately upon completion of the service.

9.2 We will always aim to resolve issues fairly and reasonably.

9.3 Complaints raised after the vehicle has been used may not be accepted.

 

10. Refunds

10.1 Refunds are not provided for completed services unless a genuine fault in workmanship is identified.

10.2 Where appropriate, we may offer a re-clean or correction instead of a refund.

 

11. Data Protection

11.1 Sinister Detailing collect and store personal information only as necessary to provide our services, including name, contact details, and booking information.

11.2 Your personal data is used only for: Managing bookings, Contacting you about appointments, Providing quotes or service updates

11.3 We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

 

12. Data Storage & Security

12.1 Sinister Detailing take reasonable steps to keep your personal data secure and protected from unauthorised access.

12.2 Personal information is only retained for as long as necessary to manage our business operations or as required by law.

 

​13. Marketing & Communication

13.1 We may contact you regarding your booking or related services.

13.2 We will only send marketing messages if you have given permission, and you can opt out at any time.

 

14. Photography & Marketing Images

14.1 Sinister Detailing may take photographs of vehicles before, during, or after work for record-keeping and quality purposes.

14.2 These images may be used for marketing (including website and social media) unless you request otherwise.

14.3 We will never include personal identifying information in images without consent.​​

 

15. Your Rights

15.1 You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.

15.2 You may request correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal or business requirements.​

 

16. Governing Law

16.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16.2 Any disputes will be handled under UK jurisdiction.
